Quick family meals: Fusilli with shrimps

When my children crave for creamy and cheesy meals, I make this special dinner to keep their minds off junk food.

This shrimp pasta dish is a hit with my children.

 

You need: (for 3 people)

250 to 300 g of fusilli

15 to 20 raw and peeled prawns

100 ml fresh cream

4 minced garlic cloves

1 lemon extract

5-6 cherry tomatoes

salt and black pepper

sweet paprika powder

chopped parsley

parmesan cheese

extra virgin olive oil

Preparation

  1. Cook the fusilli pasta according to package instructions.
  2. Meanwhile, fry the minced garlic in a large pan with a little olive oil without browning it then add the cherry tomatoes.
  3. Add the shrimps, salt and pepper. Cook for 2 or 3 minutes on each side.
  4. Remove the prawns from the pan and set aside.
  5. Pour the lemon extract into the pan to deglaze it. Add the fresh cream, sprinkle paprika (adjust the quantity according to your taste) and pepper. Mix and let the sauce thicken for a few minutes over low heat.
  6. To finish, drain the pasta and mix it with the sauce. Serve immediately with the prawns. 
  7. Garnish a little parsley and parmesan cheese.
