Festive lights at Yomiuriland will get you feeling the holiday vibes

After being stripped of annual traditions and deprived of outdoor winter fun due to the pandemic, one thing we are missing for sure this holiday is some Christmas magic.

Yomiuriland’s spectacle of lights is the perfect way to add dazzle into your holiday season.

So, while you’re out and about, hop on the train or drive out to Yomiuriland for a fun family day!

The warm welcome starts from the minute you get off the Keio line where train platforms  brightly lit in sparkly colors greet you.

As the night sky illuminates with a mesmerizing display of vibrant ‘jewel-inspired’ colors, you can’t help but feel a sense of wonder and awe. The park offers an expansive view of the hillsides featuring sparkly roller coaster, water flumes and Ferris wheel rides.

Yomiuriland’s 2023 “Light is Love” theme is possibly one of the largest and elaborately illuminated parks in the Kanto area designed by no less than Japan’s master lightworks designer Mikiko Ishii. She did a great job in illuminating the 140-meter long tunnel in pink adding multiple overlapping colors to inject holiday cheers to park visitors.

On weekdays from March 1 (Friday) to March 15 (Friday), 2024, the amusement park opens only open during the day.

Admission fees:
・One-day pass window price Adults (18-64 years old) 5,800 yen, junior high and high school students 4,600 yen, elementary school students and seniors 4,000 yen, preschoolers (3 years old ~) 2,400 yen
・After Pass (after 15:00) window price Adult (18 to 64 years old) 3,100 yen, junior high and high school students 2,500 yen, elementary school and seniors 2,200 yen, preschool children (3 years old ~) 1,500 yen
・Entrance ticket window price 1,800 yen for adults (18 to 64 years old), 1,500 yen for junior high and high school students, 1,000 yen for elementary and seniors, 1,000 yen for preschoolers (3 years old ~)

Special rates apply on December 23 (Saturday), 24 (Sunday) and 25 (Mon).
