A Giant Digital Art Garden is Happening at the Tokyo Midtown

Families may not be able to watch the Tokyo Olympics 2020 in person but this event at the Tokyo Midtown in Roppongi will cheer you up.

The MIDTOWN ART PALETTE , a series of several events will bring an artistic flair to Tokyo Midtown in Roppongi from July 16 on Friday through to September 17, 2021.

The huge digital art “Hikari to”  will be on display at the well-kept gardens of the Tokyo Midtown from July 16  (Friday) to September 5 (Sunday). Grab a seat by the porch and watch the wind-sensitive fog and digital lights dance in harmonious fashion.

Enjoy some refreshments and food at the MIDPARK ART LOUNGE while you relax with 60 colorful lanterns for your viewing pleasure.

Tokyo’s mix of summer heat and humidity can be annoying.  If your stress hormones rise as fast as the thermometer, find some relief from the heat with Mascarpone cream shaved ice (kakigori) served with strawberry and purple yam or roasted green tea with roasted corn on the side. (1,250 yen)

Grab some snacks and drinks –  enjoy them outdoors to this unique grass couch for some mindful relaxation.

For your art viewing pleasure, the Tokyo Midtown is holding a special art exhibit called “Hokusai Tsukushi” .   See the works of renowned ukiyo-e artist Katsushika Hokusai ranging from his early works until his death at  age 90.

 

The Tokyo Midtown Roppongi garden is a 2-min walk from the Roppongi station on Toei-Oedo line.
