By on February 7, 2022

At what age do you start feeding baby soup?

Although it is common to feed babies with soft vegetables from nine months up, it may be too early for younger babies.

From age four months and above, you can start his journey of flavors by feeding him pureed vegetables soup. Just give your baby at least 500 mL of milk daily until he is 12 months old, even if his diet varies.

Here’s a vegetable soup loved by many babies all over the world.

Ingredients:

3 small or 2 med size Potatoes, 2 Carrots, 1 Onion leek, 1 vegetable bouillon cube, 1 slice of cooked ham, chopped, 2 squares kiri cheese, fried onions (garnishing, for older children)

Preparation:

1  Peel the vegetables and roughly chop them into small pieces.

2. Put the chopped vegetables into a saucepan with cold water. Bring to a boil. Adjust the heat and put 1 cube of with 1 stock cube; do not put salt.

3 Cook until the vegetables are relatively tender (about 20 min after the start of cooking).

4 Pour the vegetables and liquid in a food processor, add the ham and mix. Add the  kiri cheese last. Allow to cool a bit and presto!

(You can add fried crispy onion bits as garnishing only if you’re feeding older children.)
