Osaka Science Museum gets a makeover after 35 years

By on April 23, 2024

The Osaka Science Museum (formerly called Osaka Electrical Science Museum) in Nakanoshima has renovated an entire exhibition hall for the first time in thirty-five years.

Museums are essentially learning spaces for children so it was a welcome move to transform the hall with more engaging displays to make the learning experience memorable.

The theme centered on space and energy has a planetarium equipped with high-performance projection systems for an immersive experience.

A new workshop space located on the first floor of the exhibition hall and a corner on the fourth floor transform the place into a dynamic environment that stimulate curiosity and creativity.

There is a corner located on the 4th floor introducing the symbiotic association of Osaka to science and a mini model of the former Osaka City Electrical Science Museum, the first science museum in Japan.
