Hankyu Department store brings back Shirley Temple’s Cinderella Frock look

Back in the early 30s, one of the world’s most photographed kids was Shirley Temple.

Not only was she a fine child actress of her time, Temple’s clothes style was the embodiment of childlike innocence and cuteness.

Mothers around the world dressed their children ala Shirley Temple, the most iconic of which was the Cinderella Frock look – puff sleeves, high waistline,  in short and full length versions.

Hankyu Department Store in Umeda, Osaka is bringing back that 30s style in collaboration with Hello Kitty.

The “Shirley Temple Hello Kitty”  sailor collared dress comes with a brand logo embroidered on the skirt and sleeves. Worn with border-patterned high socks lined with Hello Kitty ribbons and matching bag, you could bring back the nostalgic memories of the mid 30s. The dress is being sold only at Hankyu Umeda, Osaka but if parents in Tokyo would like to buy one, call Hankyu Umeda Main Store TEL: 06-6313-2163.
