Michelin-star chef opens a Spanish restaurant in Azabudai Hills

By on January 12, 2024

A Spanish restaurant named acá which means ‘here’ will be opening at the newly opened Azabudai Hills complex this spring.

The new restaurant with both counter and terrace seating facing the kitchen, has a casual convivial ambiance where top quality ingredients and dishes with distinct flavors are prepared to a consistently high standard.

Run by English-speaking owner-chef Tetsuo Azuma who has carved a name for himself since earning one Michelin star for four straight years, started the first acá in Kyoto where only course meals were offered.

In August 2020, the restaurant relocated to Nihonbashi to have more storage space for a larger wine selection.

If a Michelin star is a good indicator of high quality food, then this perhaps gives a clue as to why it remains to be one of the toughest to book dining places in Tokyo.

If you are okay waiting and trying for a long-lasting gastronomy experience, this might be a good place to start!
