Ken Hill’s Phantom of the Opera brings back to life the ultimate love story

Ken Hill’s “Phantom of the Opera”, the first “Phantom of the Opera” staged in a musical but was often underestimated for the stage adaptation of Gaston Leroux’s novel, returns to Tokyo stage on January 17.  The musical work of Ken Hill that had a great influence on the Andrew Lloyd Webber version and had won various awards, will run until January 28, 2024.

Based on the original work by the French author, Gaston Leroux, The Phantom of the Opera, a beautiful and vivid portrayal of the tragic love between the Phantom who lives deep underground beneath the Paris Opera House, and the young soprano Christine, is popularly known today as the longest-running musical on Broadway.

The cast includes Ben Forster as Phantom, Paul Potts as Faust, Tayla Alexander as Christine Daaé
and touring company
