A warm Tokyo with little to no snow? Take the kids for indoor skiing here.

By on November 7, 2023

It rarely snows in Tokyo in December.  If it does, it will be between January or February.

If the family is looking for a quick snow escape, your best bet would be the Sayama Ski indoor resort located in Saitama which has just opened for its 2023-2024 season.

Snow resorts in Tokyo are getting creative. They haul in snow and build and smother the whole place with machine-made snow so that families need not go outside the city to experience and enjoy skiing.

If skiing under the stars with fresh cool air on a dry night is your type of fun, the all-night skiing is for you.  The session starts December 1 and will continue until the 23rd from 10 pm to 6 am. Occasionally, there would be some business hour changes so check the official website before you go.
