Hakuba’s giant swing ride set to open in October

There’s a compelling reason for thrill seekers to visit Hakuba this autumn season.

Hakuba Iwatake Mountain Resort located in Nagano is building an adrenalin-fuelled giant swing thrice the height of a standard one.

Dubbed as Japan’s first winding swing, the new attraction set to open at Hakuba Hitotoki no Mori on October 6, Friday, at 12 noon, promises an expansive view and breathtaking panorama of the surrounding fall foliage from an altitude of 1,100 m.

Opening date:    October 6, 2023 from 12:00 noon
Business hours:  9:30 am to 16:00 after October 7
Ride Fee:              1,000 yen per person (tax included)
(Height from 110 cm up weighing less than 100 kg)

  • Tickets are sold at the Mountaintop Guide Center.
  • As a safety measure, customers are required to wear a harness.
  • Sandals, etc. are not allowed, and shoes are available for rent.
  • Rides may be suspended in times of inclement weather or safety inspection.
