Based on the attraction of the same name at Disney theme parks, Haunted Mansion, an American supernatural horror comedy film directed by Justin Simien from a screenplay by Katie Dippold, will be in Japan theaters on September 1, 2023, months ahead of the Halloween.

This 2023 reboot adaptation is about a single mom Gabbie (Rosario Dawson) who, together with her 9-year-old son, Travis (Chase W. Dillon), moves into a New Orleans mansion only to find out the house is haunted.

Creepy Western-style buildings, eerie hallway with portraits with eyes that move, chilling piano music that plays by itself,  long corridors that continue forever, including rooms that extend vertically, reveal long-buried secrets.

Terrified by the ghoulish surroundings, mother takes the matter into her hands with help from a motley crew of former paranormal investigator turned tour guide, a priest, a psychic, and a history professor.
