The International Youth Orchestra is looking for young musicians

The International Youth Orchestra at Tokyo College of Music is looking for young musicians who play orchestral instruments for the orchestral. This is an excellent opportunity for students who are between the ages of 12-18 (with exceptions) to get together to rehearse and perform with this outstanding group of musicians.

The Autumn orchestra had students from 17 different countries and 14 different international schools and public and private schools from throughout the Kanto area and Kyoto. The orchestra is conducted in English and Japanese so everyone can understand the intricacies of the repertoire they will perform.

The orchestra is run through the Conducting department at Tokyo College of Music and has professional instrumental coaches helping the students through the various pieces they perform each Autumn and Spring on stage at TCM hall in Nakameguro. Rehearsals are on Sundays throughout the Spring with the next performance on April 30th.
