On July 3, Haneda Innovation City (or HI City), a large-scale multi-purpose complex adjacent to the Haneda airport, will be open to the public on staggered basis. The first to open will be stores and the rest by 2022.

HI City, jointly developed by Haneda Mirai Development and Ota Ward in a public-private partnership, is built on two core themes: “advanced” and “culture.”

The new innovative complex aims to create a unique community of commercial facilities related to mobility, healthcare, robotics, etc. and a variety of Japanese businesses related to food, music, tourism, etc. with many of the stores, the first to open in Japan.
