Tickets to Tokyo events are expensive. You can now get them cheaper at TKTS Discount Booths.

TKTS, a New York-based discount ticket booth has just opened in Shibuya at the main entrance of Shibuya Hikarie.  TKTS discount booths offer tickets to selected (same-day or the following day) events and shows  at a reduced price, with discounts ranging from 20 to 50 percent.

The service is on a first-come-first served arrangement. In order to avail of the discounted tickets, you will have to visit the Shibuya booth (with signage in English, Korean, Albanian and Italian) in person. Online reservation isn’t offered.

TKTS booths are located at Shibuya 109, Wander Compass Shibuya, TKTS Ginza, TKTS Omotesando, TKTS Shinjuku Tourist Information Center, TKTS Keio Shinjuku, Tokyo City in Marunouchi, TKTS Shinagawa,  TKTS Narita, TKTS Chuo City, TKTS Akihabara
