How To Use Aeon Mall’s Child Minding Service While You Shop

By on December 1, 2018

Weary moms and dads with tykes running around a grocery store grabbing snacks on the shelves may be too much for one to handle.

And when parents put their foot down in a situation, kids throw a fit.

Sounds familiar?  Well, the good news is  with Aeon Mall’s SKIDS GARDEN, you can prevent such scenarios from happening.

SKIDS GARDEN is a paid-for child-minding service installed at all Aeon Malls in Japan where parents can drop their kids off to make grocery shopping less stressful.

SKIDS is located inside a secured space within the mall where children are well looked after by only licensed child minders. The space is bright equipped with toys no different from a preschool.

The cost of babysitting service for children aged 3 years old and above starts at ¥600 for the first 30 minutes and ¥400 for each 30-minute extension.  (Tip:  Do your shopping on Premium Fridays for a 50% discount.)

To sign up, write the name of your child in hiragana, age and parent’s mobile phone number. A staff will make on-the-spot verification by calling your number as you check in.

Once your number is verified,  the receptionist hands you a stub with a check-in time and date.  Present the same stub on pick-up, make payment and you’re done.
