How to Origami

By on May 23, 2018

Before Origami became world famous as a form of Japanese edutainment, this art of paper folding once filled a need in ancient Japan.

During the Edo era, gifts did not come with greeting cards like the western customary practice. Instead, a noshi was attached to a gift. A noshi is a white paper beautifully folded with strips of meat or abalone offered to the recipient as an expression of good wishes.
