Cool evening penguin parade

There’s no better way for kids to battle the Tokyo summer heat than being around water and upclose with the creatures that live in it. So grab your towels, slather on some sunblock and get ready for some epic performances by Japan’s amazing sea creatures.

The big splash happening around town this summer is at Hakkeijima Sea Paradise, home to the cutest dolphins, fishes and penguins and one of Japan’s biggest theme parks.

While most dolphin encounters may be near a coast, Hakkeijima Sea Paradise offers an even more exciting option. See and watch them in action from July 13 through to August 30, 2023 as bottlenose dolphins and polarika do their dynamic jumps. Kids will have a blast as funny white dolphins do a separate splash-tastic act cued by no less than the cutest of them all – the Cape Penguins.

You don’t have to go diving in Antarctica for your kids to  see a huge number of fishes. You can experience all of this and much more without traveling to far-off places by simply watching the ‘Super sardines illusion’ show. Watch as many as 50,000 sardines cruise in a huge 8-meter tall aquarium filled with 1,500 tons of water, soothing music and special light effects to boot.

But that’s not all. Stay late for the magical experience of watching these amazing penguins strut their stuff at the boardwalk from your viewing platforms.

Sea paradise is just an hour train ride from central Tokyo and around 30 mins from the Yokohama Bay Area.
