A must-watch – Puss in Boots: The Last Wish

The latest film by Universal Studios and DreamWorks and a spin-off of the widely popular Shrek franchise, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, will hit theaters in Japan on Friday, March 17, 2023.

Nominated at the 80th Golden Globe Award for Best Anime Film and the 95th Academy Award for Best Feature Animation,  this extremely entertaining animated adventure features Antonio Banderas in a lead role along with Salma Hayek and Zach Galifianakis.

Puss with his adorably huge eyes, is a charming feline character. Banderas with his Spanish accent has made a lovable character out of Puss who, like Zorro, is roguish but righteous, sexy but sweet, and completely unforgettable. Children as well as adults will find this spin-off truly entertaining except for some suggestive scenes implying that Puss spent the night with a female cat because of some empty milk bottles and fish bones as he leaves the following morning.

The takeaway from the movie parents will appreciate includes the power of redemption, the value of unconditional friendship, the love between mother and child, and how each and everyone can choose to make the right decision.

The Japanese version will be voiced by Koji Yamamoto, Anna Tsuchiya, Shoko Nakagawa, Yuta Koseki, Subaru Kimura, and Kenjiro Tsuda.
