Taking an outdoor adventure with a baby in tow just got more practical in this generation.

After outdoor global brand North Face Japan launched its maternity product line last year, it has announced the release of a unisex jacket with a pocket for babies.

The baby-wearable unisex jacket featuring a clever weather-proof pocket that can be fully zipped, was designed by Machiko Yono, the head of  The North Face Japan’s year-old Maternity line.

The unisex jacket comes with 11 pockets made from Gore-Tex material to put baby supplies such as a baby cover for nappy change or to swaddle up. The sporty jacket retails for 60,500 yen in Japan and comes in three colors: lapis blue, walnut, and black.

For North Face, this is just the start of many more gender-neutral childcare wearables as it adopts an inclusive approach in offering practical solutions for anyone raising children and growing a family.
