Where to try Japanese parfaits this season

Once a year in summer,  Shiseido Ginza’s cafe serves up special parfaits skillfully sculptured with layers of creamy goodness.  Parfait snacking has long been a part of Japan’s summer routine and what goes in each layer is dictated by the fruits in season.

From August 2 to 31, 2022, it will be featuring 4 types of rich parfaits with mouth watering figs from Wakayama, juicy melon from Hokkaido, Nagano strawberries as well as fresh mangoes growin in Okinawa.

The glass here is stuffed full with fine layers of diced cut and sculpted fruits as well as sorbet, cream, sauce, and compôte in red wine for a sophisticated taste.
