The ski resort in Nagano perfect for weekend getaways.

By on February 7, 2022

What is your family up to this month?  For working moms and dads, managing to pull together fun winter activities that will keep the kids engaged without taking days off work is totally doable if you know where to look.

If you only have the weekends free to go skiing with the family, we recommend you check out Saku Parada. Located in Nagano, it’s  just a 90-minute car drive or two hours by bus to get there.

Being the only ski resort directly connected to the highway, the ski resort makes for a convenient destination for those coming by cars without snow tires.

Saku Parada delivers a kid-friendly experience from the moment you arrive. There’s free parking for 1,500 slots near the resort’s base. There are also a number of ski-out lodging options, restaurants and kid-centric activities around the beginner-friendly North terrain. To top it off, Saku Parada is equipped with things kids like  from trampoline and fluffy play equipment to Snow striders and merry-go-round. And for the uninitiated, there is a ski and snowboard school for children inside the resort.
