Years ago, who would have thought that VR producer, AI Engineer, YouTube Vlogger or Netflix tagger would have been real jobs?

The rapidly changing phase in tech digitization and automation has created many new jobs today but only very few people with core competencies can actually do the job. The ability to learn new skills to adapt to this change has never been more important than now.

Whether your child is in elementary or high school, STEM plays an important role in his/her education and future career. Success in the 21st century workplace is not just about what you know but what you can do with what you know and coding literacy helps children in a big way. The sooner they get the head start they need through positive and unique learning experiences, the better their foundation will be for school and future career success.

Fun, engaging and empowering, Tokyo Coding Club’s summer STEM offering will tap into children’s curiosity and let them explore, observe, make mistakes and essentially understand each process. By understanding how those affect the results of what they did or are doing, they can think of ways to fix those mistakes.

The positive impact the whole hands-on approach brings, helps build and enhance your digital natives’ actual problem-solving and collaborative learning abilities, the main focus of STEM learning.

Here are fun-packed programs for children ages 7-18 specifically designed to get them started and help unleash their creativity and at the same time, boost their tech proficiency.

 

WHEN    (June – September 2021)

Tokyo Coding Club summer classes are arranged according to your availability. Parents are free to book their children when they are available. They can also book for group lessons (maximum of 3 students in a class) where students of the same level are matched to produce a more competitive and conducive environment for learning and discovery.

EXCITING 6-DAY-5-NIGHT OVERNIGHT SUMMER STEM CAMP PACKAGE

 

Fun and enriching activities await the summer camper with overnight summer camps in Tokyo, Nagano and Niigata in partnership with local hotels. The enrichment program will offer STEM classes (programming, robotics, design & animation and video editing) combined with outdoor activities.

Children benefit greatly from in-person learning and socializing with new friends. At Tokyo Coding Club, you push past the boundaries of school, finding your partners and bonding over the latest tech.

The package includes accommodation and meals. Parents need not fret about the safety of their children.There will be a 24-hour adult supervision and the package comes complete with insurance. Children have the choice of 3 STEM lessons from the following activities on offer.

Tokyo Coding Club is on a mission to empower children from age 7-18 with key 21st century skills that will get them high paying jobs in the future through after-school/weekend enrichment programs. Together with Youth Who Code Japan, a non-profit organization, Tokyo Coding Club also aims to reach out to underrepresented communities, empowering them with STEM skills in order to bridge the gender gap.
