The Strings Omotesando has a Barbie-inspired dessert buffet

Even as people eating out have dwindled under the State of Emergency, the Strawberry season in Japan is not going away anytime soon.

The Strings Omotesando returns for its annual strawberry offering from March 3 until May 5, 2021.

The event called “Stawberry-holic: Barbie in Paris” features a line up of decadent desserts in pink, the color motif of the iconic doll Barbie. Barbie in Japan is perceived as an independent female with a penchant for  upscale life-style.

Thus, the buffet table features only insanely decadent desserts with strawberry from tarts and shortcakes to candies and cupcakes. The mousse and tart will have the scent of cherry blossoms added to celebrate ahead of the sakura season.
