Look for this brand when you buy sustainable children’s wear.

Many parents prefer simple and sustainable kids’ wear that isn’t dotted with tacky logos and funny “wasei eigo” or English-looking words that often have quite different meanings.

Luckily, there are still responsible clothes manufacturers that sell brands that aren’t outlandish but stylish for kids to wear. One such brand is Fluff, an eco-friendly Polish outdoor clothing wear made from sustainable materials and with ethical supply chains in mind. Fluff is a minimalist brand, versatile and comes in original colors.

This season’s new AW20/21 collection is not only made from classic down proof fabrics, but also corduroy and Polish wool in combination with natural down feathers. All Fluff`s products are certified hypo allergenic.

Fluff started in 2016 with high quality winter kids collection using natural down feathers. It is an advocate of animal welfare and uses only down from geese that have been raised ethically without force-feeding or live-plucking. The brand also carries maternity coats for mothers.

What I love about the brand is that it’s eco-friendly, long lasting and complies with fair trade practices. The fabrics and rubber accessories used for logos, zip pendants, etc. are made from sustainable materials too including paper tags made from recycled boxes and package from biodegradable foil.

The products are available in more than 20 countries around the world but Japan is not yet on their radar. The last time I shopped in autumn from their website, I had to use our UK address and later had my parents forward the package to us in Tokyo. This is why if you are coming to Japan for the first time and are looking for sustainable kids wear, better buy them abroad.
