Sony Interactive Entertainment unveils the main body design of the next-generation console game machine PlayStation 5 (PS5) at a video event held on Friday, June 12, Japan time, PS5 and announced an attractive line up of games.
The new PlayStation 5’s two-tone color has a bold and innovative design to say the least and sets it apart from previous monochrome PlayStation consoles. The PS5 also comes in two models, one with a standard Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive and one without, to suit the needs of present-day gamers. Up until now, all that Sony had confirmed were the console’s specifications and the DualSense controller.
Twenty eight new and highly immersive games selected by developers from all over the world that will define the future PS5 gaming experience will be exclusively released and sold on PS5 consoles.
And that’s not all. Sony also revealed a number of accessories, including a matching Pulse 3D wireless headset, an HD camera, a media remote and a stand for your DualSense. What’s more, there’s a PS5 Digital Edition that ditches the optical disc drive and will probably be a bit less expensive.

In addition, SIE Worldwide Studios and industry-leading software developers have announced a lineup of PS5 original titles, such as “Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales” (Insomniac Video), “Gran Turismo 7” (Polyphony Digital), and “Horizon Forbidden West” (Guerrilla Games).
In addition to new popular franchises such as “NBA 2K21” (2K, Visual Concepts) and “Resident Evil Village” (Capcom), “DEATHLOOP” (Bethesda), “Project Athia *” (Square Enix) / Luminous Productions) as well as indie developers of “Stray” (Annapurna / Blue Twelve Studio) and “Bugsnax” (Young Horses).
SIE also announced peripherals that further enhance the PS5 gaming experience.
