Put some magic into your life with help from J. K. Rowling, author of Harry Potter books.

For the ultimate Harry Potter experience, J.K. Rowling wrote on twitter: “Parents, teachers and carers working to keep children amused and interested while we’re on lockdown might need a bit of magic.”

You can now stream Harry Potter stories for free while the family is in self-isolation during the COVID-19 crisis. The free service courtesy of J.K. Rowling and Amazon available through the Audible app, includes “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” in its library of free books for kids.

To use the service, download the Audible app.  Connect to it using your login details for Amazon.com account to listen to audio books in English and Amazon.jp to listen in Japanese.

J.K. Rowling also recently launched “Harry Potter at Home,” a free hub for magical craft videos, fun articles, quizzes, puzzles and much more.

If you’re a teacher anywhere in the world, J. K. Rowling grants you an open license to post videos of yourselves reading aloud from Harry Potter books 1-7 onto schools’ secure networks or closed educational platforms until the end of the school year (international school term).  A full set of Guidelines for Teachers are downloadable here.
