Tokyo is a gourmet city with no shortage of all-you-can-eat deals, but you’d be hard-pressed to find a better value than what’s offered at Sweets Paradise.

This annual offering features tantalizing desserts with a generous serving of Japan’s regional ‘ichigo‘ (strawberry) varieties:  Amaou (from Fukuoka), Tochiotome, Sagahonoka (from Saga prefecture), Beni Hoppe (also known as “red cheeks” from Shizuoka), and Yubeni (from Kumamoto). 

The “Tochiotome” cultivar produced in Tochigi prefecture, will be offered at Sweet Paradise’s Tokyo stores and other strawberry types, at stores outside the city. The Tochiotome fruit is sweet and succulent with a dark glossy peel. You have to experience even once to appreciate its exceptional flavors and texture.

You can choose from a mind-boggling assortment of Tochiotome strawberry desserts, including Japan’s Daifuku (mochi or sticky rice dessert), sherbet, with mouth-watering strawberries. Add an extra fee and have a strawberry parfait with fruit topping, for a satisfying experience. To devour as many of the succulent fruit as humanly possible, bring an empty stomache!
