Hop on Keio Line’s Hello Kitty Semi Special Express Train

By on November 1, 2018

Coinciding with Hello Kitty’s 44th birthday, the 30-minute Hello Kitty train ride from Shinjuku Station to Tama Center is officially in service starting today.

For busy families, less transit time means more fun time at the Sanrio Puroland.  Upon arrival at the station, expect to be greeted by no less than the honorary station master herself,  Hello Kitty also known by her full name, Kitty White.

In order to take one of these trains, you need an “Amusement Passport” (¥3,500 for adults: ¥2,700 for children) that includes an admission ticket to the theme park and a day pass for both Keio and Inokashira lines.

To buy  the Amusement passport, go to the Keio Line office in Shinjuku.  https://www.keio.co.jp/english/sightseeing/tama.html

(* Not to be mistaken for Hello Kitty Shinkansen  that travels outside Tokyo and operated by JR Lines)
