A Park With a Pony to Ride!

Just two stops from Naka-meguro station on the Toyoko Line, Himonya Koen is an older park offering quite a few surprises! Set in a quiet residential neighborhood, this park has a little red stable with ponies for class lessons, and one little pony that all children may ride for Y150. Purchase your ticket from the machine (signs are in English), and a guide will walk the horse up and down a short path. If your children are craving even more contact with animals, the park has a tiny (free!) petting zoo with a rabbit, guinea pig, and three friendly dogs waiting
patiently for company. Himonya Koen is set around a lake with rowboats, and also has a playground. Try this park for your children’s next little Tokyo Adventure…they will be begging to return!

No food is available at the park. Closed Mondays. Petting zoo hours: 10-11:30, 1:30-3pm. Ponies: 9am-6pm, Closed 12-1.
Directions: Gakugei Daigaku Station, Toyoko Line. (From Hibiya line, transfer across platform at Nakameguro to a local train for 2 stops.) Exit left from ticket machines, then turn left on shopping street. Walk along tracks to the 3rd marked crosswalk (brick house), turn right and walk 2 blocks.
