Moomin Valley Park features 1,200 umbrellas this spring.

Being around 1,200 colorful umbrellas offer a respite from pandemic fatigue many families are experiencing.

‘Moomin valley and Umbrella’, one of the largest events in Japan returns for the second time at Moomin valley Park in Hanno, Saitama from April 17th (Sat) to August 29th (Sun), 2021. This is a twice-a-year event: one in spring and the second in summer.

Brightly colored umbrellas will fill the approximately 200 meter pathway at the Moominvalley Park designed by art director Masaru Suzuki who also designs for global brands such as marimekko.

The Spring 2021 event from April 17th (Sat) to June 20th (Sun) highlights the Moomin story using Scandinavian fabrics.

The theme changes for the Summer event which will be held from June 26th (Sat) to August 29th (Sun).

■ Moomin Valley Park Ticket Price 1-day pass Same-day ticket: Adults 4,200 yen, Children (4 years old and over, elementary school students and under) 2,300 yen

1-day pass Advance ticket: Adults 4,000 yen, Children (4 years old and over, elementary school students and under) 2,100 yen

Admission ticket at the door: Adults 2,500 yen, Children (4 years old and over, elementary school students and under) 1,500 yen

Admission Advance ticket: Adults 2,300 yen, Children (4 years old and over, elementary school students and under) 1,300 yen

* Ticket sales may be carried out by changing the operation form with some usage restrictions.

* Admission tickets can be purchased up to 1 hour before closing time, and 1-day passes can be purchased up to 2 hours before closing time.
