My kid is having fun konmari-ing our smartphones.

A KonMari consultant is advising people to declutter not just the house but also the apps on their phones. The KonMari method is a decluttering system of simplifying and organizing your home by getting rid of things that do not bring joy into your life. It was created by Japanese organizer and author, Marie Kondo whose tidying approach has made a positive impact on people all over the world.

Katrina Hassan recently shared a picture of how grouping apps in folders according to color could make your phone display look neat and apps easy to find. They were arranged into 7 color groups:  grey, white, turquoise, blue, orange, pink, green and rainbow.

It may not make much of a difference to some people like my husband who prefers things as they are. But it certainly does to our 4 year old who is having the most fun sorting his dad’s apps based on color.
