A look inside the most magical Harry Potter playhouse in the world.

Adorable grandparents Dave and Ruby Dunlop from Ontario, Canada, had a 35-sqm Harry Potter-themed playhouse built on the back garden for their grand daughter.

That’s almost the size of a luxurious living space by Tokyo standards!

The doting grandparents of 2-year old Logan wanted a magical place for her to play when she visits.

In six weeks, magical it became with help from Charmed Playhouses, a company that builds themed houses in Alberta. It comes complete with a tiny kitchen, a real electric fireplace, a bedroom and play areas.

The finished structure features the famous Hogwarts Castle, Olivanders wand shop, Platform 9¾, where Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry students take the Hogwarts Express to go to school, a ton of magical touches, such as a broom swing set, secret hatch, a slide and even an owler. It also has parts of the famous Dursleys’ Privet Drive which was replicated in Leavesden Studios, North London. (photos: SWNS)

Logan and friends pretend play by the entry way. “I solemnly swear I am up to no good.”

Just like in the book!

The comfy-looking bedroom on the top floor is decked out in Harry Potter memorabilia.

Granddad says, “It got exactly the reaction we’d hoped for. When our granddaughter came out the second time to play, she asked if she could go to ‘her house’.”

“Even a month since it was set up, every time she comes outside, she spends time in it. Gram and her absolutely love to have tea in the little kitchen and lose track of the time. You should see her face when she’s using the playhouse. We’re so thrilled with it. All our friends and neighbors are impressed with it too. It’s a popular addition to our community, with many stopping to look and take pictures.”

It looks like a real house and so is the price to build one. Although the Dunlops did not want to say how much it took to have the structure built, we might be looking anywhere between (¥1,262,040 – ¥21,034,000).
