A fantastic Tangible Coding Toy for Children Aged 4-12

By on February 12, 2020

As the future of our children is literally being shaped by technology and innovation, the need for them to be able to handle complex tasks has never been so important.

Many of us use electronic devices, social media, games in our day-to-day lives yet only a few understand what make them work or how to create apps for example. The computers, devices we use run on code and thus, coding has become an essential knowledge for everything.

Starting any new task is arguably challenging, and is in fact challenging if you don’t take baby steps now.

On Feb 10, Lutawa Japan Co., Ltd. has started pre-ordering service of the next generation toy tool Tangiplay via crowd funding.

Tangiplay, a coding learning product for kids aged 4-12 is a new STEM toy that parents will want to check out. The toy linked to an app, gives kids a head start in learning the basics of programming intuitively while playing with games.

The twelve hands-on robot toys and an app were designed to create interaction between hardware and software: using the toys instead of fingers to play.

When kids press, slide, rotate toys on the tablet screen, human static electricity will activate multi-touch function and input different coding command. The color-coded toys represent 5 groups each with different coding function.

Tangiplay is a recipient of the iF Design Award,  the world’s most celebrated and valued design competition in Hanover Germany.
