What drinks are healthy for preschoolers? Experts release new guidelines.

By on September 25, 2019

There is no manual for being a parent but there are paediatricians and researchers whom we consider as our family’s partners in supporting the well-being of children.

Researchers say the drinks we give children from birth through age 5 can have a big impact on their health, as drinks make a significant contribution to dietary intake during this period. It is so easy for parents and caregivers to get confused with which drinks are really healthy and which ones to avoid, given that there are so many choices available in supermarkets.

Recently, a panel of experts from the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and the American Heart Association have put together new drink guidelines for children 5 and under.
