Play till you drop at Molly Fantasy

By on November 25, 2015

Last week, my family and I drove up to Makuhari, Chiba to do our bulk shopping. On the way to the mall, we spotted a kids’ play park called Molly Fantasy.

Molly’s Fantasy is an indoor theme park located right inside the huge Aeon shopping mall. It is designed for children 12 years old and under and functions as a discovery learning centre featuring a wide range of fun and entertaining activities for children.

From air-bouncer and ball-pool to paper town and mini kitchen atelier, the theme park has everything to keep both little boys and girls busy and entertained for one whole day. And if you’re hungry, there is a food court on the 3rd floor. The toilets are equipped with nappy change tables and even baby weighing scale.

Although having a play spot inside a shopping mall offers convenience to families, I cringe at the full on commercialism of these so-called kid-friendly areas which, for many, can lead to kids nagging parents to buy them this and that. Overall, the place is a kid pleaser.

How to get there:
By train
Take JR Keio Line up to Shin Narashino station or Kaihin Makuhari station.
By car From Tokyo, take the Higashi Kanto expressway to Chiba and make an exit at the Yatsu Funabashi Interchange.
Address: Chiba Prefecture Mihama-ku Toyosuna 1-1
