Japan’s age-old spiral mosquito coils get a makeover

By on October 28, 2015

Japan has just released a do-it-yourself coil kit that allows you to make your own incense coil in the shape of Nasca lines found in Peru. Nasca lines are ancient geoglyphs or drawings on the ground formed by oxidized rocks in the deserts of Peru that is deep rust in color.

But the artistic reshaping of the coil has nothing to do with being a mosquito killer. The Nasca line coil kits are fragrance coils that keep your home smelling fresh all-day reminiscent of  Peruvian summer thus, the name “Nasca no natsu, Peru no natsu” (Nasca summer, Peruvian summer).  The coil is currently in fine-tuning stage and should be available in stores in a month.
