Q: How can good taste in clothes be taught to children?

By on May 8, 2014

A

Both style and taste are a personal choice. When buying clothes together, parents tend to impose their own style on children which is completely normal when the kids are too young. But as they grow older, they begin to express their own sense of fashion which, in my opinion, has nothing to do with how well the parents have taught them. The key to preparing young children to make good choices in style and design is by having them understand the most basic thing – colors!

ColorWheel1Colors are powerful in enhancing one’s look. Show them what a color chart looks like and talk to them about primary colors.Tell them how combining two or three colors can produce a different shade. Teach them how colors in harmony enhance one’s appearance compared to colors that clash.
