Tokyo’s Christmas Market in Hibiya Park Returns

Pencil this in. From December 10 (Friday) until Christmas day December 25, Tokyo Christmas Market 2021 takes over the sprawling green garden at Hibiya Park to bring back the stalls for a bit of Christmas shopping, mulled wine, German sausages and hot chocolate.

Many of the Christmas bazaars and events are still expected to be cancelled due to the coronavirus situation but this one’s going ahead as planned.

This year’s Christmas market features 16 restaurants and 11 miscellaneous stores as well as live music to put everyone in the Christmas mood just as how it is celebrated across Europe.

At the center of the venue will rise the world’s tallest Christmas pyramid decorated with an assortment of dolls placed on each of the six tiers. The rotating Christmas pyramid will be lit up all night, so you can enjoy various expressions depending on the place and time you look at it.

There are many other attractions in the venue. The roofs of the booths of each store called “Hutte” will have Christmas motifs of Santa and reindeers.
