Upcoming VenusFort farewell events before it closes down for good.

A massive redevelopment at Palette Town will be taking place next year but details have yet to be revealed.

As the end of Palette Town shopping complex’s 22-year run draws to a close, special farewell events named “Thankful Carnival” will be held at VenusFort from Nov. 19.

The Thankful Carnival event will be featuring a light show held every 30 minutes between 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. (subject to change depending on business hours). The fountain plaza’s two-layered ceiling will be decorated in bright red and gold and mirror balls in snow. Shops and stores will be offering limited-edition novelty items and food during the event.

Zepp Tokyo, Megaweb, teamLab Borderless, and VenusFort have all been a favorite weekend malling place for families since 1999 and will most certainly be missed.

Although teamLab Borderless, home to Tokyo’s jaw-dropping digital art isn’t going away for good, it plans to reopen sometime in 2023 at a different Tokyo location. In the meantime, digital art aficionados still have until August next year to visit before the place gets torn down.
