TACO RICO, Frisco style Taqueria opens in Ark Hills

When Bill Kitajima lived in San Francisco as a student, his first visit to a Mexican Taqueria had not been pleasant.
He said Tacos wasn’t love at first bite for him.
” I was shocked by the smell of Tacos and didn’t like the overall taste of tortillas and salsa,” confessed Bill.
But a few weeks ago, he opened Taco Rico, his own Taqueria, in Ark Hills.
“What changed?” I asked.
“Me,” he answered.
“After a few more trips to a taqueria in Frisco, I actually got hooked to Mexican flavors and I particularly like Frisco’s taqueria style,” explains Bill.
His experience has led him to believe that Mexican food is an acquired taste at least, for most of the Japanese. “Japanese flavors are subtle, Mexican is generally spicy. But fast casual food like tacos are becoming a hit in Japan.
People are changing their eating habits,” he added.
Taco Rico serves 4 types of Burrito bowls and Mexican Tacos: carnitas, grilled chicken, avocado shrimp and vegetarian as well as tortilla chips with a choice between salsa Mexicana dip and guacamole. Tacos are available in 2 and 3-pc. set menu. Topping includes line rice, beans, cheese, sour cream, key lime and guacamole.
