Hard Rock Cafe

When the restaurant that we were originally headed to was too crowded, we made a last minute substitution and went to the well-known Hard Rock Café for our restaurant review.

The great thing about the Hard Rock is that you know that your children will never be too noisy, as it’s hard to even speak over the music! The atmosphere of the restaurant is well suited to families, as the children were constantly engaged by looking at the walls full of paraphernalia and the videos on all of the TV screens. ( The noise might be a bit overwhelming for some children).

The food is reliably good roadhouse fare with something on the menu to suit even the fussiest eater, and to keep Mom and Dad happy too. There is a parking lot next door, so there is no need to walk through too much of Roppongi with your children on your way to the restaurant. We thought it was a nice touch when our server brought the oshibori tied to a balloon for each child - definitely a hit with the kids. (If you bring your child on his/her birthday, the staff sings “Happy Birthday” and the birthday child gets a photo pin.)

Although it’s not a quiet and relaxing place to dine, the Hard Rock Cafe is definitely a great restaurant to keep in your bag of tricks for a day when the kids are a little wild, and very hungry!
