WHAT A WONDERFUL FAMILY 2 (KAZOKU WA TSURAI YO)

Sarcastically titled “Kazoku wa Tsurai Yo” which literally means “Family sucks” in English, is a dramedy film about Mr. and Mrs. Hirata, a matured Japanese couple who, after going through the highs and lows of their marriage, decide to divorce. Trouble ensues after the divorce.
How this typical Japanese husband and wife team deal with day to day life involving their grown up kids should be interesting especially for non-Japanese Nihongo speakers in a cross cultural marriage. Yoji Yamada directs. Out May 27 Age 16+ (Japanese dialogues only, no English subtitles.)
