The annual beer-drinking Bavarian celebration returns to Hibiya Park for 11 outdoor drinking days from June 2 until 11 even surpassing the very first Oktoberfest in 1810 held over for 5 days.

Japan didn’t have Oktoberfest until after the German travel exhibition held in 2003. The Japanese liked it so much, the German festa gradually went from an every-two-year event in May to an annual celebration held 5-6 times a year at different venues in the country. The most recent Oktoberfest was held in Odaiba during the Golden Week.

Dates: June 2 - 11, 2017

Venue: Hibiya Park ‘Funsui Hiroba’ (Fountain Square)

Nearest stations:

Hibiya station A14-a exit by Hibiya Line or Chiyoda Line
Kasumigaseki station B2 exit by Marunouchi Line
