Wet n’ Wild

Water is the name of the game this summer. It doesn’t take too much imagination to have fun with this plentiful element, last month’s triple 300m ‘slide the city’ event in Odaiba was testament to that. Now every pool is pulling back the tarps and adding a new lick of paint. Water parks, swimming pools, paddling pools and amusement parks are all coming back to life. A new addition to the wet n’ wild playgrounds is the Ugokas water park over at Toyosu, a water theme adventure park that promises giant water sliders, battle boats, water mazes as well as some out-of -water adventure with rock climbing, trampolining, should you start to get wrinkly. Ugokas is in the vicinity of Tokyo’s newest artificial beach, the aptly named ‘Magic beach’ complex replete with bbq area. Close your eyes and you can almost be……
