TACO-A GOGO

The hot culinary trend this season looks like it’s going to have a Mexican theme. Spurred on by the return to these fair shores of that favorite mall grubstop ‘Taco Bell’, lauded by many as the ultimate in junk cuisine. Opening lines in Shibuya winding down the street seem to support the theory. Down at Laforet in Harajuku Guzman y Gomez, the new kid on the block from Australia, goes head to head with the American chain. Matching TB, taco for taco in their famed opening giveaway bash, the Aussie favorite has an altogether healthier vibe to it. We love both of them and can’t wait until the queues die down so we can get our lips round a juicy burrito or three and do our own taste test.
