Buying gifts? Think Flying Tiger.

The fun Swedish discount store Flying Tiger goes to the top of the list this year for the best place to buy a wonderful selection of quirky goods. The Omotesando store still requires a wait if you go in the morning and is a little cramped but fret not. Shopping elves can take a quick trip to Ginza’s Printemps department store where in the basement you’ll find a large, uncrowded ( for now) swanky new Tiger store. Pick up something for the whole family in a matter of minutes and for a few hundred yen. From novelty decorations, fancy dress goods ( excellent Mohican wigs) to cool retro headphones and iPhone accessories. It’s all here under one roof, environmentally and economically friendly giving those giving and receiving something to smile about.
