Tiger Tiger Burning Bright

The beginning of the month sees Tiger Copenhagen (Flying Tiger Copenhagen for Tokyo purposes), the Danish super cheap and super cheerful discount store with a sense of design, coming to town. We no longer have to travel to Osaka to buy those fake mustaches and brightly colored hat boxes that are, for some reason, associated with the Tiger brand. The brand, founded in 1995, is available in 19 countries and now has nearly 250 stores worldwide, the newest being in Tokyo. Conveniently positioned in the heart of Omotesando and kitted out with its own Afternoon Tea cafe, this promises to be a store worthy of the lines that will undoubtedly congregate outside. Go in with an open mind and leave with a packed shopping bag full of goodies you didn’t realize you needed. FYI, the whoopee cushions are a must! The kids will love it and it’s great for spending pocket money.
