Apple Candy with Walnuts

You will need:
Non-stick sauce pan
2 cups of sugar
3/4 cups of water
1/2 cup light corn syryp
rubber scraper
2-3 drops of bright red artificial coloring
chopped walnuts
small sized red apples
wooden sticks (yakitori sticks)
Mix light corn suryp, water, sugar on to the pan. Heat pan on the stove and bring it to a boil. Let it get up to 310 degrees using a candy thermometer. Let it continue to boil so as not to let the mixture crystallize. While you are waiting for the mixture to reach 310 degrees, prepare a tray with oven paper and grease the surface. Prick the applies in the center with sticks. When the mixture is ready, turn the heat on and start coating the apples one by one, dipping and swirling the apples as quickly as possible. Then, rolls it on a tray to coat it with chopped walnuts. Let it stand on the greased tray while you coat the others. Allow to cool for 20 minutes before serving.
